What is Canoe Polo?

Canoe polo, also known as kayak polo, is a worldwide competitive sport. Known simply as "polo" by its aficionados, polo combines boating and ball handling skills with a contact team game, where tactics and positional play are as important as the speed and fitness of the individual athletes.

Melbourne CPL (Canoe polo League)
April - September

Running over two seasons indoors at the Richmond Recreation Centre. The competition is spread over two nights per week with divisions ranging from Open A through to Novice.

training sessions and skills nights

Training sessions ranging from open to beginner run throughout the year at local canoe clubs. Additional skills sessions including rolling nights, coaching lessons and social nights are also hosted throughout the year in local pools.

Interclubs
November - february

The Victorian Inter-Clubs Series (VICS) is an excellent series of competitions played outdoors at various canoe clubs over the summer. Aimed at all skills Levels.
